Wilcore is looking to enhance mission-critical digital services for the Department of Veterans Affairs by hiring a Senior Backend Engineer experienced in Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
Requirements
- Rails for building and maintaining scalable backend services
- Sidekiq for background job processing
- Redis for caching and queue handling
- PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and database performance tuning
- diagnosing and resolving production issues to improve system reliability and uptime
- VA ecosystem—especially VA Platform One, enterprise GitHub practices, VA.gov standards, or DevSecOps models
