Applied Intuition is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to scale the backend and infrastructure that powers their visualizer, which is a core workflow for customers across multiple verticals in the automotive and defense industries.
Requirements
- Deep experience with C++ (5+ years)
- Strong opinions about the best way to develop scalable, performant services
- Experience with grpc and cloud experience (e.g. AWS)
- Experience working with autonomous vehicle systems or simulation software
- Experience with optimizing video-streaming or playback services
- Experience with multiplayer game infrastructure, high-frequency trading systems, or other low-latency critical systems
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture changes to drastically improve streaming performance of real-time data visualization flows utilized by top OEMs
- Impact the development of ADAS and AV across the entire industry
- Work with customers and cross-functional internal teams to understand needs and build product features based on market signals

- The ability to lead other backend engineers on successful execution of high-complexity workflows
- We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week.
- Base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $165,000 - $260,000 USD annually.
