Vaya Health is looking to solve business and technical problems by designing, architecting, and implementing complex and visually compelling reporting and business intelligence (BI) solutions. This includes developing ETL, ad hoc querying, and end-user reports to enable data analysis for strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive development, architecture, and configuration skills in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Extensive experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Expert level competence with Microsoft T-SQL including complex queries and stored procedures.
- High- Level of competence with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Proven experience in developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, ETL, data visualizations, data extracts).
- Experience in gathering business and technical requirements and in preparing and documenting specifications.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerShell.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing BI solutions to enable the analysis of data to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements.
- Developing end-user reports, ad hoc requests, data visualizations, extract-transform-load (ETL) systems, master data management (MDM), and other BI Solutions.
- Performing requirements analysis, design, and implementation of end-user requested BI solutions.
- Writing basic technical documentation for all created BI products.
- Monitoring the health and performance of supported systems and communicate potential service problems by identifying patterns occurring across separate BI solutions.
- Developing and executing industry security standards as they relate to BI development and as supported by adopted policy.
- Following industry standards and best practices to ensure the security of information, communications, data, etc. when developing BI solutions.

- This position requires access to and use of confidential healthcare information or protected health information (PHI) as described in laws addressing patient confidentiality, including, but not limited to, the federal HIPAA law, the Confidentiality of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Patient Records law, 42 CFR Part 2, and various state laws.
