The Alexa Americas team is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead our business intelligence projects and strategy. That includes analyzing, and delivering actionable insights to drive customer engagement and satisfaction, while supporting the growth of our business.
Requirements
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics and reporting to deliver key business insights to our country teams across the Americas.
- Lead new and ambiguous business projects from start to finish with the ability to manage, analyze and communicate results to senior leadership
- Respond to all business report requests from country teams, and create dashboards where possible, to automate responses.
- Own and perform individual deep dive analyses on our customers, including communicating results and implications to business leaders
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation, always insisting on the highest standards.
- Mentor junior Business Intelligence Engineers.

- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
- The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market.
