SHEIN is seeking a Senior Merchandiser/Buyer to identify suppliers, research goods and services, and process purchase orders to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of fabrics, knowledge of trends and fashion
- Proficient use of Excel and MS Word
Responsibilities
- Create product specifications and select fabrics, trims, colors, and embellishments
- Overseeing the final production of designs, including fittings
- Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency
- Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
- Analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for product adjustments
- Overseeing launching schedule and maintaining sample records
- Conducting ongoing market research to identify new potential vendors
Other
- 3+ years experience in Woman’s Retail/E-Commerce buying
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to stick to a budget
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Independent, self-motivated, team player
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with short timelines and changing priorities
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to travel twice a year to New York and Las Vegas
- Sense of urgency, highly detailed, and experience in meeting deadlines
