The In-Vehicle Software Purchasing role is responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationships related to embedded and connected vehicle software. This position ensures that software solutions meet cost, quality, and timing requirements while aligning with the company’s technology roadmap and compliance standards.
Requirements
- SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems
- Engineering background with Software purchasing experience is preferred.
- Understand basic engineering documents
- Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes.
- High level knowledge about Software/ technology
- Negotiation skills
Responsibilities
- Determine viable suppliers for technology requirements
- Develop and manage supplier under the guidance of quality, service, technology, and price negotiations. This includes sound understanding of deadlines, required lead times, supplier contracts and application types.
- Utilize Global Purchasing and Supply Chain sourcing process to manage Sourcing packages.
- Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package.
- Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance
- Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package.
- Understand basic engineering documents

- Active participation with key stakeholders, including engineering, IT, business stakeholder, legal, and security.
- Proven competence in negotiating skills

- Ability to travel 10% of the time domestically + Internationally
