The company is looking to source technology purchases on a regional and global basis, requiring a strategic approach to develop and negotiate sourcing strategies.
Requirements
- Understand basic and advanced technology (licensing and Legal) concepts
- Knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Research)
- SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems
- High level knowledge about software/technology (Software, cloud services, SaaS, or Immerging Technologies)
- Cost analysis or software development experience
- Knowledge of software development processes/standards
- Capable of interpreting market data
Responsibilities
- Develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies
- Prepare and complete sourcing recommendations to various levels of management
- Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines
- Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package
- Utilize Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages
- Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package
- Participate in supplier KPI reviews
Other
- 5+ years relevant post-graduate in purchasing, supply chain, program/product or logistics
- Project Management Skills
- Proficient communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Analytical skills, including the ability to do in-depth benchmarking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, and prioritize requests
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field (i.e. Supply Chain Management, Finance) or Information Technology
- Automotive industry experience
- Software industry experience
- Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
- Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes
