The company is looking to source technology purchases on a regional and global basis, requiring a strategic approach to develop and negotiate sourcing strategies.

Requirements

  • Understand basic and advanced technology (licensing and Legal) concepts
  • Knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Research)
  • SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems
  • High level knowledge about software/technology (Software, cloud services, SaaS, or Immerging Technologies)
  • Cost analysis or software development experience
  • Knowledge of software development processes/standards
  • Capable of interpreting market data

Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies
  • Prepare and complete sourcing recommendations to various levels of management
  • Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines
  • Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package
  • Utilize Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages
  • Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package
  • Participate in supplier KPI reviews

Other

  • 5+ years relevant post-graduate in purchasing, supply chain, program/product or logistics
  • Project Management Skills
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to do in-depth benchmarking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, and prioritize requests
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field (i.e. Supply Chain Management, Finance) or Information Technology
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Software industry experience
  • Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
  • Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes
