Raytheon is looking for Senior Software Engineers to support the AN/TPY-2 missile defense program and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems.
Requirements
- Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada.
- Experience with Script languages (C Shell, Perl).
- Experience using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance.
- Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps.
- Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
- Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year.
- Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
Other
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Potential to travel to CONUS or OCONUS customer sites (up to 15%, 1-2 weeks per trip) for software build installation and support.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
