Specifically, the Hard Products Innovation team needs a Chemist to advance coating technologies for their shaving products to enhance performance and durability, ensuring a superior customer experience.
Requirements
- You have a deep expertise in surface chemistry, material science, and a range of coating technologies, especially thin films.
- You are a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys designing and running experiments to test hypotheses and drive innovation.
- You have excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You are a self-starter with a passion for creating high-quality, innovative results, and a drive to constantly improve upon existing technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the research and development of innovative coating technologies for shaving products, focusing on improving the key factors driving consumer perception.
- Create, develop, evaluate, and demonstrate new coating materials and application methods that enhance product performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, including material suppliers, to source and test cutting-edge technologies.
- Design and execute experiments to characterize coatings and validate their performance.
- Develop test methods and protocols required in support.
- Translate your technical findings into actionable insights for the broader R&D team, contributing to the development of new products from concept to launch.
Other
- You hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
- You are a strong collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.
- Reporting to the Head of the Hard Product Innovation team.
- You'll be a team member of the Hard Product Innovation team.
- You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and our factory team in Germany.
