Kimley-Horn is looking for a Senior Cognos Developer to lead the design, development, and administration of their IBM Cognos Analytics environment to drive data-driven decisions across the business.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Administration)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and BI best practices
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience with other BI data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Exposure to Cognos DQM and CQM modeling
- Familiarity with cloud-based Cognos deployments
- T-SQL on SQL Servers
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Cognos
- Source data needed for reports and work with the data team to incorporate into the data warehouse and models
- Perform Cognos administration tasks including user management, security setup, deployment, and performance tuning
- Maintain and optimize data models, packages, and reporting layers
- Troubleshoot issues with reports, data sources, and server environments
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards
- Support upgrades, patches, and migrations for Cognos environments
