Vaultes is looking to modernize a suite of legacy enterprise applications for a federal agency, requiring technical leadership and full-stack development support with a focus on ColdFusion expertise.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of ColdFusion development experience, including legacy maintenance and modernization initiatives.
  • Strong skills in SQL, HTML, JavaScript, APIs, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with federal IT security, accessibility, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical operations for maintaining and enhancing ColdFusion-based applications that support federal public health and engineering missions.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement new features, bug fixes, and system integrations with related platforms.
  • Manage source control, code reviews, and documentation in alignment with federal IT and cybersecurity standards.
  • Collaborate with analysts, system owners, and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with Section 508 accessibility, FISMA, and NIST standards.
  • Support audit and security readiness through disciplined configuration management and change tracking.
  • Bring a modernization-focused perspective to technical decisions, identifying opportunities to streamline, refactor, and align with future-state architecture goals.

  • Coordinate and mentor development team members, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality expectations, and secure coding practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with distributed or remote technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • This is a full-time position contingent on contract award.
