Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps clients navigate critical moments and transformational initiatives, including M&A, valuation, restructuring, and sustainability. The role aims to provide data analysis and insights to support client deal investment hypotheses and advise C-suite executives during M&A transactions.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience analyzing large datasets, including demonstrated understanding of data manipulation tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced business analytics and data mining solutions
- Experience designing and storytelling via data visualization (examples include but not limited to Tableau, Power BI, Excel Charts, etc.)
- Experience analyzing or managing accounting, financial or transactional data
- Strong working knowledge of data structures and database design
- Experience performing ETL/data manipulation using Alteryx or similar tools
- Knowledge of how to use programming languages for data analyses: SQL, Python, R or other languages.
Responsibilities
- Gathering, normalizing, validating, and analyzing transactional data (e.g., sales and inventory data) to develop and test hypotheses for a given deal.
- Providing financial, accounting, operational and tax due diligence, manage and analyze the data.
- Utilize visual analytics skills to tell a compelling story of our findings.
- Using business intelligence tools and data analytic skillset to provide meaningful insights to our clients which are crucial to their deal investment hypothesis.
- Coordinate with FP&A and Strategic Finance personnel to identify, collect and validate data from client databases
- Analyze financial & key performance indicator deal data for trends and outliers
- Identify opportunities to design and develop visualizations and dashboards that enable effective and repeatable analysis of large transactional datasets

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrable evidence of effective team leadership, client relationship development, project management, and engagement management, preferably in a client service setting
- Ability to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar
