Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking an ADAS Trajectory Control engineer to develop the foundation of their next-generation Autonomous Driving features, aiming to set the standard for low-cost, high-performance Software-Defined Vehicles.
Requirements
- Prior coursework in non-linear control and/or optimal control
- 5+ years of experience with trajectory control algorithms in automotive, aerospace or related fields.
- Proficiency with Embedded C/C++ and Python
- Proficient in firmware development processes and relevant tools (git, Gtest)
- Experience with industry-standard automotive data-logging tools (Vector CANalyzer/CANape, Dewesoft or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement trajectory-control algorithms in Embedded C for Autonomous Driving features
- Collaborate with systems engineers to define feature-level requirements
- Ensure seamless integration of trajectory control algorithms with vehicle motion-control and state estimation software stack
- Work closely with test and integration engineers to fine-tune controller performance across multiple vehicle programs
- Create and deploy test cases on various test automation platforms (data playback, SIL, HIL)
- Collaborate with simulation engineers to improve vehicle dynamics simulation capabilities
