Dematic is looking to create standard logistics system building blocks for global usage by their operations organization, focusing on projects across all regions including APAC, China, EMEA, and NA.
Requirements
Knowledge in core Python and software development concepts such as data structures, data types and variables, exception handling, file handling, generators, iterators, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
Experience with Agile software development
Experience with version control systems (git, mercurial or others)
Controls Knowledge & Experience
Experience refactoring and / or re-architecting code
Experience with JavaScript (React, Angular, or similar framework)
Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development
Responsibilities
Develop, integrate, and maintain Ignition platform
Continue to build an integration strategy based on principles of reusability, security, scalability and quality
Assess and propose changes to algorithms that improve computational efficiency
Implement Agile software development methods and encourage best practices
Emphasize quality and user focus, inspiring others
Communicate across various internal and external stakeholders to understand the business goals and feasibility of proposed integrations
Implement and maintain software development best practices

6+ years logistics Engineering experience or equivalent
3+ Years total leadership experience
Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without much supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to solve problems and think creatively
Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science degree preferred
