ECS is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Data Scientist to solve complex business and cyber security problems through data exploration and analysis, developing processes and technologies that solve cybersecurity problems and drive innovative solutions that bring value to cybersecurity organizations.
Requirements
- Proficient in Python.
- Knowledgeable in at least two of the following scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Linux and Bash/Command Line experience.
- 4+ years experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Visualization skills using R, Python or other languages and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Executing all steps in the modeling process to produce high quality, reproducible results.
- Leading and managing team members to produce holistic data science solutions leveraging best practices in development and data science.
- Using data science, statistics, and mathematical methods to solve cybersecurity problems.
- Define a problem statement that addresses cybersecurity requirements, develop an algorithmic approach to solving the problem, and then execute data and algorithmic refinement to create a solution.
- Work with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, DevSecOps Engineers. and Cybersecurity Analysts to ensure that a clear cybersecurity problem is being addressed and that the solution addresses the problem.
- Lead a team building a complete solution from data collection to action.
- Performing data analysis including applying statistics.

- MS or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field with 4+ years in Data Science related field.
