The Analyst will support strategic and operational decision-making by delivering actionable insights through data interpretation, business modeling, and performance tracking for The AES Corporation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with Python.
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., enterprise data catalog and data quality tools).
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business strategy, operations, and performance improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI.
- Perform ad hoc data analyses to support initiatives in areas such as Customer Service, Operations, and Finance.
- Work cross-functionally within the team, bridging the Data Governance and Data Engineering/Architecture efforts to support integrated data solutions.
- Present findings, recommendations, and data-driven insights to internal stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multi-functional stakeholders and vendors.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an analytical or business support role.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the energy and/or utilities sectors
