South College is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to deliver value to the college through actionable insights using advanced data analytics, solve business problems through critical thinking, and present simplified solutions with little oversight.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools, and experience with visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with student lifecycle data, including admissions, retention, and support services.
- Ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, such as department heads and the executive team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets related to student admissions, enrollment trends, retention rates, and student services to identify patterns and opportunities to enhance student experience and increase company profitability.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., using Tableau or Power BI) to communicate insights to admissions, student affairs, and academic teams.
- Develop and maintain predictive models to support student retention and success initiatives, such as identifying at-risk students.
- Work with the Artificial Intelligence team leader and other stakeholders to integrate data insights into AI-driven tools and processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data cleaning and validation processes in compliance with FERPA and other regulations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve analytics processes for student-focused initiatives.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics required
- Master’s degree in Analytics preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Analytics in the workplace preferred
