Checkr is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive financial strategy and operational efficiency by building reliable data models, conducting rigorous analysis, and delivering data-driven recommendations for financial planning and business performance evaluation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data science, revenue analytics, or a related quantitative role, preferably within a finance, fintech, and/or SaaS environment
  • A strong command of SQL and a modern data stack (e.g. dbt)
  • A foundation in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
  • Proven track record of translating complex business questions into well-defined analytical projects and delivering actionable insights

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain core financial data models / reporting to track revenue, costs, and key business metrics; your work will be a cornerstone of our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process and routine Exec debate and decision making
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into business trends, unit economics, and pricing strategies to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
  • Design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines in our business intelligence stack to ensure accurate and timely data for financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Finance leadership to inform business strategy, product pricing, and operational investments with robust data insights.
  • Build and automate reporting that provides continuous insights to the business, empowering stakeholders with self-serve data.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Rigorous communication and stakeholder management skills; capable of explaining quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences
  • A meticulous, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for solving ambiguous problems
  • Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week.
  • The base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $159,000 in San Francisco, CA.
