Flock Safety is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of data solutions that enable engineering, operations, and business teams to leverage data effectively, automate processes, and monitor/react to issues, playing a major role in the company's real-time analytics technical strategy and execution.
Requirements
- Redshift, GCP, etc..– Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Infrastructure as Code/Deployment – Terraform, GitHub Actions
- Data Ingestion – Debezium, Third Party APIs, Streaming (Kinesis Data Firehose)
- Data Transformation – DBT, Prefect
- Observability – Grafana
- Reporting/Data Visualization – Sigma, QuickSight
- Able to take on complex problems, learn quickly, iterate, and persist towards a good solution
Responsibilities
- lead the design and implementation of data solutions
- enable our engineering, operations, and business teams to leverage its data effectively
- better automate its processes
- monitor and react to issues
- play a major role in Flock Safety’s real-time analytics technical strategy and execution
- Support and develop Data Engineering initiatives (ETL pipeline, API ingestion, etc..)
- Reviewer for all Data Engineering PRs
