DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to drive the development and optimization of their data transformation and modeling processes, ensuring raw data is transformed into trusted, well-structured, and analytics-ready datasets to empower decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in working with Snowflake, Kafka, Argo, on-premises SQL Server, and SSIS, along with a solid understanding of cloud-based data technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in languages utilized for data engineering such as Python, SQL, Java, and Scala with experience in scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and other non-relational concepts, DBT core, Argo and Kafka is a plus.
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Sigma and Tableauis a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize data models, ensuring they align with business reporting needs and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to define and enhance ELT pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies to create innovative, modern data solutions.
  • Use Python to automate data transformations, build quality checks, and optimize Snowflake performance.
  • Support data governance initiatives, including metadata management and lineage tracking.
  • Monitor and improve query performance and cost efficiency within Snowflake.
  • Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and documentation to ensure trust in reporting and analytics.

  • 7+ years of experience in engineering data integrations, analytics engineering, and data modeling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, collaborate within a team, and engage cross-functionally.
