The University Development Office is implementing a new CRM and an Azure cloud-based data warehouse, requiring a Senior Data Engineer to develop and maintain ETL pipelines, ensure data quality, and integrate data assets for applications and business intelligence systems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with database management
- 2+ years of experience with SQL development
- 2+ years of experience with building integrations/ETL pipelines
- 2+ years of experience coding against APIs
- Experience using version control software such as GitHub
- Experience writing complex SQL queries and working with large amounts of data
- Experience with data appends and data cleansing techniques
- Experience working in cloud-based environments
Responsibilities
- develop and maintain our ETL pipelines
- share ownership of end-to-end data quality
- work closely with the Applications Development, Records Management, and Reporting and Analytics teams to ensure that data assets relating to both applications and business intelligence systems (warehouse, reporting system, etc.) are accurate, consistent, and reliable
- Clean and append data from 3rd party vendors into application layer databases.
- Code utility programs that support data appends and bulk files.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and performant integration/ETL pipelines from source system to DW/BI environment.
- Ensure high quality of data delivered to internal stakeholders and users within the University Development Office.

- Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.
