The Sr Data Engineer will oversee the Department’s data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data Warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis at SECURA Insurance
Requirements
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake/SQL
- Experience working with XML and JSON data formats
- Expert in SQL for data mapping, extracting, and validating source data to enable accurate reporting and data feeds
- Experience with large system design and implementation
- Knowledge of the SDLC, business processes and technical aspects of data pipelines and business intelligence outcomes
- 5+ years of data pipeline/ETL/ELT development experience in a corporate environment
- Experience with Duck creek Software Solutions
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies within the databases table of the IAP data model
- Develop, maintain and optimize current data pipelines which includes, but isn’t limited to data from our policy administration systems, claims system, agent facing portals, and third party data assets
- Develops complex data objects for business analytics using data modeling techniques
- Ensures data quality and implements tools and frameworks for automating the identification of data quality issues
- Analyze and propose improvements to existing Data Structures and Data Movement Processes
- Provide data to Data Analyst
- Assist other developers with further developing the IAP data model
