Lirio is looking to solve the business problem of driving consumer engagement, closing gaps in preventive and chronic care, and promoting health and well-being by leveraging behavioral science and AI. The Senior Data Engineer will be instrumental in building and maintaining the data platform that supports these initiatives, ensuring data is collected, transformed, and presented effectively to various data consumers within the organization and to clients.
Requirements
- Highly proficient with Python and SQL and object oriented programming
- Familiar with UNIX or Linux systems and the command line
- Knowledge of toolchains for development such as Git, Gradle, Docker, etc.
- Understanding of batch and stream processing
- Familiar with cloud platforms
- Familiar with our tech stack (Snowflake, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience handling sensitive or restricted data
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, and continuous operation of Lirio’s data platform.
- Ensures that data from internal and external sources is collected, transformed, and presented in a usable form to the various data consumers within the organization.
- Assures the execution of the data platform and processes, including monitoring, proactively identifying issues, troubleshooting and timely implementation of corrections or improvements.
- Collaborates with the broader technology team to engineer new data models, systems and workflows.
- Design and implement new features, tools, capabilities, and improvements within the data platform to facilitate and scale data operations across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects or unexpected behavior in new features to ensure stable delivery.
- Identify, propose, and implement solutions across the data platform to ensure that continuing operations are scalable and reliable

- Communicate with current and future clients to assess data needs and requirements
- Assist with onboarding and implementation of client data management solutions
- Adhere to operational processes and playbooks for client facing activities such as onboarding and change implementation
- Serve as a trusted problem solver for client-facing data challenges, escalating and resolving issues efficiently
- Maintain data governance and security/privacy standards when working with sensitive client data
- Provide subject matter expertise across the organization.
