Expression needs a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and improve the data platform that enforces quality and governance to provide timely, trustworthy analysis across enterprise systems.
Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines, big data platforms or data lake architectures, and Data Visualization/BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Superset.
- Experience with query performance optimization and tuning at scale.
- Knowledgeable in Generative AI tools and technologies.
- Experience with cloud-native data solutions leveraging AWS or Azure.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, and graph databases.
- Experience with GenAI enabled daily workflows (coding, testing, analytics)
- Experience leading agile teams, enabling short release cycles and continuous delivery
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end data solutions that include ingest, logging, validation, cleaning, transformation, and security.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Design and evolve robust data models and storage patterns that support analytics and efficiency use-cases.
- Treat data as a product: define quality standards and checks, SLAs, and observability to ensure data is accurate and trustworthy.
- Contribute to the evolution of Expression’s VOR Data Platform; including tooling, standards, and automation.
- Participate in research, case studies, and prototype development to explore and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including agentic AI solutions.
- Maintain client-facing relationships and lead product demonstrations.
Other
- Combined 10+ years of experience and education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to deliver design documents, technical reports, and presentations to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance Required
