AltaMed is looking to solve the problem of managing and scaling their data platform by hiring a Senior Data Engineer who can own the architectural vision and ensure the development of robust, secure, and efficient data systems.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with T-SQL coding and ETL development is a must.
- Strong experience with a scripting language, preferably Python, and its data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) is required.
- Demonstrated experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows required.
- Experience in designing and building robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration is required.
- Prior experience working in the healthcare industry with a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and data security best practices is preferred.
- Microsoft-certified database credentials (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar certifications) are preferred.
- Experience in utilizing SentryOne to monitor is preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar with 5 years of experience in data engineering or similar role, with a proven track record of building and managing complex data systems; instead of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience.
