Finanzguru's Data Engineering Team needs to enhance its data platform and architecture to enable all teams to independently create and maintain data products, ensuring data is reliable, performant, and high-quality.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Big Data technologies like Spark (Databricks) and AWS.
- Knowledge of various Big Data architectures and understanding of their applicability.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala.
- Optimal utilization of Spark for processing large data volumes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Skills to develop the data platform for independent use by Product Analysts and Developers, focusing on good UX, clear naming conventions, and reliable Data Contracts.
- Experience with monitoring and logging for data pipeline stability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Technically and architecturally elevate Finanzguru's data platform to improve the foundation for all data products.
- Analyze and question existing architectures and develop them further.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines from raw ingest to the gold layer.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth and secure deployments from development to production.
- Ensure data is reliably, performantly, and with high quality available at all times.
- Develop the data platform for independent use by Product Analysts and Developers.
- Implement monitoring and logging to ensure data pipelines remain stable and performant long-term.
