Oshi Health is looking to solve the problem of providing easy, convenient access to integrated and multidisciplinary care for digestive health conditions through a digital clinic model.
Requirements
- Deep expertise with modern data tools and lakehouse architectures
- Proficient in SQL and Python/Go, with a strong background in building scalable ETL systems
- Expertise in data management best practices, including data definitions, lineage, quality frameworks, and governance models — especially in regulated industries
- Knowledge about data security and HIPAA compliance
- Experience with FHIR standards, HL7, or other healthcare data interchange formats is a plus
- 8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, including 3+ years in a manager or team lead role
- Hold a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or have equivalent experience in a relevant area
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term technical roadmap for Oshi's data platform, balancing scalability, reliability and cost against achieving mission critical business goals
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers in a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning
- Design, scale, and maintain secure and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure (e.g., AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, Segment, Salesforce) to unify data across systems
- Define and manage data models that support analytics, clinical insights, and operational reporting
- Implement frameworks for data testing, validation, and monitoring to ensure high levels of data quality and integrity
- Identify and execute opportunities to automate and optimize data workflows for efficiency and scalability
- Partner with Security and IT to uphold strong data governance, audit trails, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data standards

- Hold a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or have equivalent experience in a relevant area
- Strong cross-functional communicator who can clearly translate technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders
