Journal Technologies is seeking to improve its data strategy by ensuring the seamless flow of information throughout the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making and extracting actionable insights from vast data sources.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ETL tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) and data transformation techniques.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data integration tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust data integration solutions that connect various data sources and systems to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Create and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, and alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to define data mapping specifications, ensuring that integration efforts align with organizational objectives.
  • Implement data validation and quality checks to identify and rectify anomalies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of integrated data.
  • Administer and optimize databases used in data integration processes to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Develop custom scripts and code to support data transformations and automation, optimizing integration workflows.
  • Continuously monitor data integration processes, identifying opportunities for performance enhancements and efficiency gains.
