Requirements
- Strong proficiency in computational programming languages such as Python
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to explore, cleanse, and analyze messy data in large and complex relational databases
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and applied statistical modeling
- Demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques, models, algorithms, and frameworks
- Expertise in time series modeling and forecasting
- Experience working with big data and cloud data warehousing technologies like Snowflake
- Experience building analytical and data science products within a SaaS framework
Responsibilities
- Applying data mining techniques and statistical analysis to healthcare and financial data
- Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling
- Developing, evaluating, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining models and algorithms
- Collaborating closely with data engineering, software development, and product management to translate business problems into data science solutions
- Communicating complex technical concepts and analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contributing to a culture of collaboration, learning, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Other
- 4-6 years of experience in data science roles, preferably within the healthcare or financial services sectors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings to differing audiences
- Data-oriented personality
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility to work from home
- Preferred location in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO
