Engine is seeking a Data Scientist or ML Engineer to develop and implement strategic pricing algorithms and intelligence systems to optimize their travel platform and drive business impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science or ML Engineering, ideally in pricing, revenue optimization, or similar high-impact domains.
- Strong machine learning and statistical modeling skills
- Adept at working with large, complex datasets.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with agnostic tech stacks is a plus.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked with Snowflake or Streamlit.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale pricing datasets to identify trends and benchmark comparable properties across regions
- Architect core pricing intelligence systems using robust statistical ML methods that form the foundation for our next-generation pricing platform
- Build enterprise-grade ML models that balance sophistication with interpretability, ensuring stakeholder confidence and regulatory compliance
- Develop strategic pricing algorithms that combine the reliability of proven statistical methods with the innovation of modern ML engineering
- Advanced analytics experience, including experimental design, A/B testing, and causal inference methods
- Perform exploratory data analysis and communicate clear, actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders
- Drive business impact by building strategic models
Other
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and business teams to uncover pricing opportunities
- A Master’s degree in a quantitative field is highly desired; a PhD is a plus.
