AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to provide expert leadership and guidance to their federal government client, developing advanced analytics solutions to extract actionable insights from complex data.
Requirements
- At least one active/current certification in AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, or Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Data Engineer, or equivalent credentials.
- Solid experience and knowledge of version and project management software (i.e. Team Foundation Server, SVN, etc.).
- Agile delivery, compliance with IT Security, FISMA, and Section 508, development of data catalogs/metadata, and engineering support for cross-functional projects.
- Experience with machine learning and predictive models for real-time and batch processing.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and accessibility standards, including FISMA and 508 compliance.
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Lead data discovery efforts to understand business needs, technical constraints, and opportunities for data science solutions.
- Design and execute exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical testing, and feature engineering.
- Build, validate, deploy, and maintain machine learning and predictive models for real-time and batch processing.
- Translate program goals and analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data readiness, quality, and proper integration for model development.
- Implement version control, testing, and CI/CD pipelines for models using best practices.
- Regularly release new data science functionalities and iteratively improve models in line with agile methodologies.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 10+ years (senior level) of experience in real-time and batch analytics, predictive modeling, complex data transformations, and data quality assurance.
- Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing with all levels of management, with a diverse workforce, and with customers.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
- Preferably federal experience and have GSA background and client experience.
