Aspire General Insurance Company is looking to transform data into actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making across the organization, specifically in areas such as pricing, claims forecasting, and customer segmentation.
Requirements
- Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and producing repeatable, production-ready analyses.
- Strong command of tools such as Python, R, SQL, and modern data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Actuarial concepts, up to exam 5 concepts, is a plus.
- Experience working with insurance data (e.g., policy, claims, rating, or telematics) is a strong plus.
- Prior experience in the auto insurance industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities across business functions.
- Conduct exploratory and ad hoc analyses to answer key business questions and inform strategic initiatives.
- Support the development of predictive models (e.g., pricing, claims forecasting, fraud detection, customer segmentation).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and operational performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define metrics and build intuitive visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate program outcomes and A/B test results.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in underwriting, product, and marketing to scope and execute analytical projects.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science); master’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with Staff, Clients, and Company Partners.
- Ability to communicate with others in an effective and friendly manner, one that is conducive to being a conscientious team member, fostering a spirit of goodwill, indicative of a professional environment and atmosphere.
- May require occasional travel (up to 10–15%) to company offices, vendor sites, or industry conferences.
