Metrea is looking for a Data Scientist to deploy operational ML techniques across various use cases within their Decision Science Laboratory and automated Solution Engine to solve complex challenges in the Defense sector.

Requirements

• comfortable with deploying operational ML techniques across at least one of object detection, LLM/NLP, causal networks, reinforcement learning or track fusion.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms
• The ability to clean and organize data
• Experienced using Windows, Android, and Linux operating systems
• Database management, running and/or writing queries
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
• Strong foundation in statistics and predictions.

Responsibilities

• Apply and adapt state-of-the-art data science techniques to address broad Defense-related challenges, including object detection, track fusion, reinforcement learning, causal networks and LLM/RAG deployment.
• Conduct ML experiments and take responsibility for the subsequent operational deployment of selected approaches.
• Translate operational requirements into technical solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Apply and recommend data science best practices and contribute to shared resources.
• Pursue continuous learning and stay abreast of emerging trends in data science, AI, sensor technologies, and simulation techniques across Defense and Aerospace applications.
