BNY is looking to define, develop, maintain, and deliver strategic data science products that demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the company. This involves leading projects to develop AI/ML products, GenAI/LLM models, and communicate insights leveraging the scientific method.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of applied data science, AI/ML, and GenAI/LLM
- Strong and proven hands-on experience implementing solutions (e.g., Python, scikit-learn, Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow/PyTorch, GPT models)
Responsibilities
- Develop AI/ML and Generative AI /LLM models to address challenging and impactful business problems for BNY, from proof of concepts to production-level deliverables, and produce thorough model evaluation and documentation to support decision and assess model risk
- Develop and communicate insights leveraging the scientific method to inform business decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand strategic objectives, key performance indicators, and reporting requirements
- Establish relationships to obtain data and subject knowledge needed to support advanced analytics
- Stay abreast of technology innovations and trends, recommending areas for improvement
- Be proactive and autonomous in solving problems, demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and urgency
Other
- Advanced degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of related experience in AI/ML or data science, with experience in financial services or credit business a plus
- Strong communication skills and highly collaborative mindset
- Innovative mindset and creative thinking demonstrated by publications and patents
