Booz Allen needs a Data Scientist to help turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges across private and public sectors, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence, by finding answers in the data.
Requirements
- using Python and NLP and LLM implementation
- data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- production-level systems, data lake environments, and streaming data, including Kafka
- implementing end-to-end ML workflows from data prep to deployment and evaluation
- quickly learn infrastructure or systems concepts, including how pipelines interface with data lakes
- design, implement, and iterate on ML models for document classification, extraction, summarization, and search
- deploying Docker and Kubernetes solutions for containerized capability development
Responsibilities
- guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems
- use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions
- provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used
- design, implement, and iterate on ML models for document classification, extraction, summarization, and search
- take ownership of data science workflows that interact with a production system streaming millions of documents per week
- collaborating with MLOps and infrastructure engineers to ensure robust model deployment, monitoring, and retraining pipelines
- supporting platform components such as documents indexing or search, GPU workloads, and distributed storage, including Cloudera
Other
- 5+ years of experience in applied data science or ML roles
- 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
