Spotify's Advertising Product & Technology team needs to build a next-generation advertising platform that aligns with their value proposition for audio and video, scaling user experience for hundreds of millions of fans and hundreds of thousands of advertisers. The Ads Data Platform team is seeking a senior-level data scientist to help build ad measurement products and an experimentation platform to allow advertisers to optimize their campaigns.
Requirements
- You have the technical competence to perform advanced analytics and data extraction (using SQL, and Python or R)
- Deep knowledge of statistical inference, preferably including experience with Bayesian methods
- You have experience in experimental design / causal inference
- You are comfortable building and maintaining large, complex datasets
- Ad tech experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and engineering to understand audience product problems and propose data-driven solutions.
- Deliver solutions to challenging, large-scale problems with complexity and ambiguity independently
- Write code (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to obtain, manipulate, and analyze large datasets
- Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key partners
- Work closely with a cross-functional team of product owners, product marketers, and engineers
- Prioritize business solutions, regardless of product area
Other
- You have 5+ years of experience in a similar data science role and a degree in a quantitative subject area
- You can explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and conduct nuanced discussions with engineers
- You have experience taking a project idea and bringing it to life through self-driven scoping, planning, and stakeholder communication
- For this role, you can be within the Americas region as long as we have a work location.
- This team operates within the U.S. Eastern time zone for collaboration.
