Microsoft Advertising platform is looking to solve complex data science problems across users, advertisers, and publishers, including monitoring business metrics, defining metrics, building analytical & experimentation frameworks, and enabling leadership to make data driven decisions.
Requirements
- Experience with time series modeling, forecasting and explaining business metrics
- Experience with productionizing and maintaining ML models and systems
- Organizational, analytical, data science skills and intuition.
- Problem solver: ability to solve hard technical and customer problems.
- Experience with real world system building and data collection, including design, coding and evaluation
- Excellent communication skills
- Managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results
Responsibilities
- Define, invent and deliver metrics which accurately measure user and business value across various products and ads marketplace components.
- Design, create and implement models and systems to forecast and explain outcomes from marketplace changes.
- Interpret the results of modeling/analytics/interventions, validate approaches, and iterate to continuously improve customer and business outcomes.
- Partner effectively with product management, engineers, and other areas of the business across our consumer online business.
- Engage with stakeholders to produce clear, compelling, and actionable insights and data-science driven workflows that influence product and service improvements.
- Make independent decisions for the team and handle difficult tradeoffs in both technical and business scenarios involving multiple stakeholders.
Other
- 1+ years customer-facing, project-delivery experience, professional services, and/or consulting experience.
- Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience
- Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
- Ability to work from the office at least four days per week, subject to local law and jurisdiction.
- Equivalent experience in lieu of degree requirements
