Diverge Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop advanced machine learning and natural language processing solutions to improve health access and outcomes for Medicaid patients by enhancing engagement and management, closing gaps in care, and addressing medical, social, and behavioral needs, ultimately lowering healthcare costs and improving patient lives.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing and deploying NLP solutions in production environments
- Strong background in predictive modeling, especially within healthcare (e.g., risk stratification, patient outcomes, resource optimization)
- Proficiency with Python and relevant libraries
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization tools
- Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering for real-world applications
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance data ingestion pipelines to support scalable data science workflows
- Design, tune, and evaluate LLM prompts for natural language understanding and generation
- Develop and deploy predictive and prescriptive models to optimize outcomes across clinical, operational, and financial domains
- Operationalize NLP solutions for unstructured text data, including entity recognition, classification, sentiment analysis, and topic modeling
- Communicate insights through compelling visualizations, dashboards, and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and clinical teams to align AI solutions with business goals
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and contribute to strategic roadmap planning
