The company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help drive their analytic, machine learning, and other AI capabilities and resulting product offerings for cybersecurity use cases.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in applied math (linear algebra, calculus, statistics, optimization, graph theory) and understanding of when to apply various modeling approaches
- Minimum 5 years in data science or analytics with proven success in the design, training, and evaluation of ML models
- Strong coding capabilities, specifically solid experience in Python using packages like using PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and others
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms, specifically text classification, NLP-based threat tagging, or similar tasks
- Experience with data engineering or ELT/data pipeline creation
- Familiarity with graph analytics, knowledge graphs, or cybersecurity ontologies (e.g., MITRE ATTACK)
Responsibilities
- Tackle complex problems by selecting and applying the right mathematical approaches and machine learning models across structured and unstructured data
- Design, train, test, and tune machine learning models for threat intelligence, incident detection, alerting, risk scoring, and more
- Build successful prototypes to validate model performance and feasibility
- Design and implement preprocessing pipelines and feature engineering workflows
- Define quantitative metrics to track model accuracy, performance, and business impact
- Create and maintain clear internal, external, and compliance documentation on models
- ML applications will be diverse and span foundational learning paradigms
Other
- Excellent communication skills; adept at translating complex analyses into digestible recommendations for diverse teams
- Comfortable owning and driving projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Domain experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, account takeover, ransomware analysis, or similar fields
