Requirements
- Proven experience in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Scala)
- Comfortable developing code in a team environment (e.g., git, notebooks, testing)
- Experience with statistical distributions and analytics toolbox (e.g., Statistics)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Superset, ggplot)
- Experience with engineering information out of massive and complex datasets (e.g. Hive, Spark, Druid)
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala
- Experience with data analysis and machine learning techniques
Responsibilities
- Performing exploratory data analyses and use statistical techniques to identify key areas of opportunity and new questions to pursue
- Crafting the narrative for iCloud performance - identify and elevate key insights, and develop scalable approaches for summarizing complex results into an accessible format
- Collaborating with partners and Data Engineering to define metrics that we will measure our efforts against as well as defining the instrumentation required for yielding sufficient data
- Connecting with and advocate to a wide audience of engineers, managers and executives to influence decisions
- Extracting information from structured and unstructured data
- Plan, design, and analyze A/B tests or experiment results
- Build models to forecast growth, capacity requirements, etc
Other
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and experience communicating technical concepts to senior executive audiences
- Self-motivated and curious with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities
- High tolerance for ambiguity
- Ability to anticipate, connect and synthesize
- 4+ years in a data science role
