The Commercial Data Science & Machine Learning team at Squarespace is looking to unlock value for Squarespace and its customers by developing and integrating data science models into company practices and the product, and support investment decisions through statistical and machine learning modeling, test design, and causal inference techniques, as well as protect customers and the business by developing detecting fraud, mitigating abuse, and minimizing financial losses from high-risk transactions.
Requirements
- Experience building and deploying models in a production environment, particularly for marketing mix modeling, customer lifetime value modeling, and financial risk modeling
- Competency with Python and SQL
- Experience communicating data science solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Strategists, and Engineers to identify opportunities and create data science solutions
- Prototype different approaches to identify the best data solutions for business problems
- Design, deploy, and maintain statistical and machine-learning models in business- and customer-facing applications; for example, marketing mix modeling, customer lifetime value modeling, and financial risk modeling.
- Validate and improve model performance through iterative testing, tuning, and feature engineering
- Propose, design, and implement marketing lift tests using both traditional A/B test designs and model-based approaches like causal impact
- Research advancements in data science and machine learning to evaluate new techniques and technologies for potential application
