Geotab is looking to enhance its telematics solutions by leveraging generative AI techniques to analyze complex data, derive actionable insights, and improve model performance. The goal is to integrate these AI solutions into their platforms to optimize operations, enhance driver safety, and achieve regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Experience with transformer models such as BERT and GPT, and pre-LLM NLP models like word2vec or GloVe.
- Experience with OpenAI's and VertexAI frameworks and APIs.
- Solid understanding of machine learning and operations research.
- Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques.
- Affinity for statistical analysis and predictive modelling.
- Experience in contributing to generative AI projects, including model fine-tuning and basic model adjustments for specific applications.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering for both closed-source (e.g., GPT) and open-source models.

- Assist in implementing LLM-powered solutions, employing techniques like prompt engineering and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-based systems.
- Analyze experimental results to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of Generative AI algorithms, providing insights for optimization.
Other
- Post-secondary Degree specialization in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- 5-8 years of previous experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
- 5-8 years experience in writing SQL queries.
- 5-8 years experience in programming in Python.
- Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
