West Monroe is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Data & Analytics team to deliver actionable insights and scalable models that drive value by solving business problems using machine learning and advanced analytics on GCP.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, data modeling, and algorithm development.
- Proven ability to deploy production-ready models and monitor performance over time.
- Preferred GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for ML models.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions on GCP to solve business problems.
- Design, develop and deploy agentic models in GCP.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Build predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive models using tools like TensorFlow, BigQuery ML, AutoML, and Vertex AI.
- Evaluate model performance and optimize for accuracy, scalability, and interpretability.
- Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Vertex AI to build end-to-end data science workflows.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines in collaboration with data engineers using GCP-native tools.

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into data science solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through clear visualizations, storytelling, and presentations.
- Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with team members to promote knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
