Roblox is looking to increase the speed, frequency, and acumen of its business decisions and to empower and scale product innovations within its Data Science & Analytics organization, specifically focusing on social products to nurture an engaging experience and deepen social interactions across its network.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience using big data query/processing languages such as SQL, Hive, or Spark to transform/manipulate extensive datasets
- 2+ years of experience in designing experiments, ideally with exposure to causal inference methodologies.
- 2+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R
- Experience using data results and data storytelling to influence product teams and leaders
Responsibilities
- Create and own data foundations, metrics, analytics and reporting tools.
- Design experiment and quasi-experimental measurement plans to evaluate Community products.
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams to identify new product opportunities.
- Communicate insights and discuss recommendations with cross function partners translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
- Collaborate and synergize with the rest of the social product team.
- Inform, develop and execute on product strategies in service of Roblox Communities growth.
Other
- An Advanced or equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline.
- 4+ years of industry or equivalent experience in Data Science and Analytics
- Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
