HD Supply is looking to solve business problems using data mining and analytics, leveraging innovative analytical techniques to uncover patterns and trends in data.
Requirements
- Expert level SQL: Using elegant SQL approaches like CTEs, Window Functions, Advanced Joins, and nice to have Query Optimization
- Prior Data modeling/Engineering experience building large scale data models for enabling analytical capabilities
- Ecom / Customer Internet / App analytics - multi-platform event level data like clickstream data, user journey analytics, customer behavior tracking, marketing campaign attribution, etc.
- Building complex ecommerce and omnichannel data models for product, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders
- Data visualization tools like Tableau
- Basic Python knowledge for data analysis using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, etc.
- Adobe Analytics a Plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Partners with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage data logistics, including data transfers, data structures, and business rules to enable project execution.
- Oversees the utilization of data modeling/analysis techniques to mine systems and applications for knowledge and information that support the enhancement of business processes.
- Builds, deploys, and maintains data support tools, metadata inventories and definitions for database file/table creation.
- Deploys analytical solutions to business problems. Reviews quality assurance/quality control data and project output for accuracy.
- Presents findings to key internal and external stakeholders. Communicates key findings and recommendations.
- Creates compelling presentations that provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Manages multiple projects concurrently and prioritizes and monitors project timelines and scopes.
Other
- Bachelor's or Master's in STEM fields - programs include Analytics, IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering
- 7+ years experience minimum
- Self Starter
- Good Communication
- Ability to work across and engage with functional partners.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
