Caterpillar's Building Construction Products (BCP) division is looking to extract data from legacy systems and produce actionable insights for stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, deliver cost reductions, and monitor performance.
Requirements
- Understanding Database Design and extracting information from various data sources, like snowflake, IBM-DB2, etc.
- Ability to use Power Query, SQL to extract data for analysis.
- Ability to translate data to process parameters and metrics.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain MRP systems like SAP, Glovia, etc.
- Experience in Supply Chain or worked with supply chain data.
- PowerBI Data Visualization
- Python programming language, Advanced Power Query and SQL
Responsibilities
- Develop tools for Supply Chain Data Visualization using PowerBI, extracting data from different MRP systems across manufacturing facilities.
- Lead projects to provide data insights to global supply chain teams to identity opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop and track top-tier supply chain Metrics to enable the Leadership Team to monitor performance.
- Implement projects to track changes to procurement/logistics/packaging to enable users to react proactively.
- Understanding Database Design and extracting information from various data sources, like snowflake, IBM-DB2, etc.
- Ability to use Power Query, SQL to extract data for analysis.
- Ability to translate data to process parameters and metrics.
Other
- Ability to work with global supply chain teams to meet their data analysis and visualization requirements.
- Understanding of supply chain process and ability to create visualization models to develop intuitive and interactive tables and charts.
- Implement solutions that will prevent unauthorized access of confidential information.
- Follow Caterpillar procedures for data storage, access and protection.
- Ability to understand business needs when developing solutions and guide supply chain teams to tie their requirements to top tier metrics.
