The Global MSSQL DBA team needs to ensure that the SQL Database is performant, secure, and stable, while also troubleshooting and resolving incidents and problems across the IT architecture. This role will help design and implement future database and application solution strategy, technical design, architecture, and support for carrying out the implementation of current firm strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in administering SQL Server databases on Windows Platforms
- 7+ years SQL Server development (2008-2019).
- 7+ years experience with database and system internals and performance tuning.
- 7+ years SQL Server development covering SQL & T-SQL code.
- 5+ years experience in automation and scripting (Powershell, shell)
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Replication
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Always On Availability Gropup
Responsibilities
- Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals
- Expert skills in writing advanced T-SQL, window functions, set operators, pivoting/unpivoting, grouping sets, as well as building complex stored procedures
- In-depth knowledge on analyzing query plans, can optimize and fine tune complex queries and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot database-related application performance issues and recommend solutions
- Provide production support for on-prem and cloud database environment in accordance with agreed service levels, standards, and processes
- Cover all aspects of Availability, Scalability, Performance and Security for Databases.
- Work closely with infrastructure personnel, providing technical input to application design of solutions for business and infrastructure projects
