The Global Oracle DBA team needs to ensure Oracle Database is performant, secure, and stable, requiring expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, design, deployment, and production support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in administering Oracle RAC database
- 4+ years oracle database development
- 2+ years’ experience with database and system internals and performance tuning.
- Knowledge in Exadata operation
- Proven experience in writing, tuning and analyzing queries and stored procedures
- Experience with managing and troubleshooting databases in high performance, multi-user applications.
- Proven experience in database design for performance, security and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Deep knowledge of oracle database server internals
- Expert skills in writing SQL plus, window functions, set operators, pivoting/unpivoting, grouping sets, as well as building complex stored procedures
- In-depth knowledge on analyzing query plans, can optimize and fine tune complex queries and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and recommend solutions
- Provide production support for database environment in accordance with agreed service levels, standards, and processes
- Cover all aspects of Availability, Scalability, Performance and Security for Databases.
- Advanced level of knowledge in writing and troubleshooting Shell script

- Ability to operate in the high-pressure environment and troubleshoot complex issues quickly, and successfully handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent programming and problem-solving skills with an aptitude to learn and apply new technology skills
- Work closely with Developers and provide guidance
- Work closely with infrastructure personnel, providing technical input to application design of solutions for business and infrastructure projects
- Weekend on call participation
