Arcadis is seeking a Senior Designer to join their Workplace Practice Group in Houston to deliver sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets, specifically for oil and gas workplace projects.
Requirements
- Professional Degree in Interior Design or a related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in REVIT is required
- NCIDQ certification required
- LEED and/or WELL accreditation required
Responsibilities
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while leading a team to complete each task, collaborating with other professionals to ensure design and documentation is in conformance with client’s expectations
- Proactive decision-making in selecting appropriate methods and standards for executing the work from the proposal stage through all project phases
- Responsible for quality control that meet or exceed the firm’s quality standards regarding design intent, technical delivery, performance-driven design, and project management
- Coordinating project design, construction, and management with both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring quality control and project execution
- Resolving design and technical issues within the project scope and escalate as needed to ensure project objectives are met
- Reviewing and processing submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests, and address RFIs
- Writing documents of change and reviewing contractor pricing
Other
- Strong leadership, organizational, written/verbal communication, and relationship-management skills
- Must be geographically located in the Houston area for travel to active project sites
- 8-10+ years of experience, with a strong background in workplace design
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment
- Business development to help support growth of the Houston workplace team
