HHSC IT Public Health team needs to develop, implement, and support the State's application that manages Birth Defects information.
Requirements
- Experience in the Azure cloud platform, including Azure App Services, Application gateways, and other Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Skilled developing with React and JavaScript
- Skilled developing with Java and Spring framework
- Skilled developing in an Azure cloud environment
- Knowledge of connectors and external integration
- Knowledge of databases, such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Skilled in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, maintaining code repositories, and code merges across the branches.
Responsibilities
- Using Agile methodologies, develops and enhances applications using Java, Javascript, React and similar technologies.
- Develops, deploys, and tests frameworks and application code to ensure that the frameworks and application code function properly and without error in alignment with approved requirements & design.
- Develops and maintains data and process models.
- Provides technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
- Provides technical leadership and oversight to application development, enhancement or modernization projects executed using Agile methodologies.
- Leads and facilitates the solution architecture, foundational engineering, design, development, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Performs system analysis, troubleshooting, diagnosis and problem resolution.
Other
- Minimum 4 (four) years of experience as a Programmer, Software Developer, or similar role within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is required.
- At least (2) two years of experience with Azure cloud and Linux experience is required.
- Selected candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Selected candidate must be willing to work from an HHS office located in Austin, designated by the hiring manager.
- Work outside of regular hours may be required.
